Repetitive strain injury is a debilitating condition which can manifest itself in the form of acute pain when operating mouse buttons. The ideal recovery treatment is to cease using the mouse with the affected hand, which in many cases is not practical. Key2click offers an alternative for windows users by replacing the mouse buttons with two keyboard keys, which are operated by the uninjured hand, while the injured hand controls the movement of the mouse still. The keys offer less risk of causing RSI, so some users may prefer to use key2click even after their injured hand has recovered. It differs from windows 'mouse keys' in emulating the mouse keys exactly, which is more useful for people that can still move the mouse with their injured hand.
