Phya A 'physical audio' library has been developed which can be integrated with rigid body dynamics to add realistic sound behaviour. When objects collide they generate sound according to the resonant properties of the objects and the dynamics of the collision, whether it is an impact, roll, slide or skid. This gives much more realism than using the standard sample playback techniques. In addition to novel signal processing techniques, the library iis carefully designed to enable the efficient processing and management of a flexible and dynamic environment. Working within the constraints of existing solid-body physics libraries is challenging. For more information see here.
